Calliope is an app for stories —written, interactive stories. Short stories, flash fictions, novellas; every week you’ll have access to new stories (as well as our ever growing library of previous fiction). Works and chapters drop weekly. Mónica Mohseni
Founder and CEO
Monica researched corporate propaganda in Latin America for seven years at the University of Texas at Austin. She left academia in favor of sharing immersive stories. She wants Calliope’s stories to consume people (you). Monica met Daniela at age twelve and has since been trying to flee her stereogram obsession.
Confess a guilty pleasure:
I watch a lot of Korean Dramas. I cry more than I’d like to admit while watching Kdramas.
If you had to be a fictional villain who would you be? Why?:
Sauron was quite pretty during the Second Age, also very influential.
What do you think your pet really thinks about you?:
Cool roommate. Very supportive. Great dance partner.
Daniela Morales
Founder and COO
Daniela is an audiovisual communicator. She immerses herself fully into visual and written work, so much so that she “lives” within stories. Stereograms (google it ) were her first immersive obsession. She met Monica in seventh grade while looking to share an amazing pegasus stereogram.
What are your three BEST life skills?:
Sleeping whenever wherever, completely ignoring my surroundings when I'm in my head, and not dying.
Something you love but other people hate:
Combining salty popcorn with chocolate, and scrambled eggs with strawberry jelly.
What gets you out of bed on a weekend?:
The guilt of having slept 12 straight hours.
